Do you accept all businesses?

No. Start Local is a local Indian business directory. All businesses submitted to Start Local are approved manually by our internal team. This means that your business must have some kind of real, local presence. You cannot be a website only business to be listed in this directory. All businesses are approved manually and if your business operates as a website only business it will not be approved.

To help keep Start Local consistent and to ensure that your business gets approved as quickly as possible please ensure your listing conforms to the following:

  • Your business has a local presence and is not a 'website-only' business.
  • Please do not write sections of your text in ALL CAPS. Proper sentence case should be used.
  • Please do not use profanity in your profile.
  • Please do not use HTML tags in your profile.
  • StartLocal does not accept adult content of any kind
  • Please do not upload pornographic or illegal pictures or include a link to a website that contains either of these.
